Innovative Renewable Energy Facility Coming to WINSC Landfill

Tiffin-Advertiser Tribune: Landfill Test Results Show Compliance

Results from Sunny Farms Landfill’s quarterly water testing of surface water outfalls and sediment have come back.

Members from BoJhun Environmental Services, hired by Sunny Farms, and members from Alloway, hired by the Seneca County Health Department, conducted the testing before the information was put together by Civil and Environmental Consultants Inc.

Inorganic compounds such as chemical oxygen demand, nitrate and chloride all came back within the reporting limit and/or federal categorical standard. All inorganic compounds found within the sediment that was tested are reportedly in compliance with the testing standards for northwest Ohio.

All polychlorinated biphenyls were also reported well within the limit and/or federal categorical standard.

“Our neighbors deserve to know that their water is safe and clean—and our joint testing process with the Seneca County General Health District confirms that it is,” said Ben Nutter, community engagement manager for WIN Waste Innovations.
